The Skipper
Lt. Commander Greg Keeley, USN (ret) is a Service-Disabled Combat Veteran.
He has the unique distinction of service in both the United States Navy and the Royal Australian Navy, serving in combat roles in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pacific during two decades of service.
A couple of years ago Commander K founded Pure Courage, Zero THC CBD, with the mission to help military & Veteran’s also facing down post deployment issues. More recently he an excuse to grow back his gnarly deployment beard, and Barber and Commander was launched!
Now a wanna-be farmer, goat dad, butler to Betsy Ross and Raylan Givens (his rescue pups), Commander K enjoys long walks on the beach, yoga and herbal tea.
Commanders note – the last sentence isn’t entirely accurate. The marketing folks figured it was more touchy feely than the alternative; Piloting a thirty years old John Deere, hunting white tails and enjoying Kentucky’s finest bourbon (in no particular order).

As retired Navy officers, the Battle of Trafalgar holds a special place. A story of pluck, daring-do and fearless swagger.
In homage to that terrible battle and the men who fought so bravely under sail, we named a swag of Barber and Commander products after Her Majesty’s Ships that fought at Trafalgar in 1805 – Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson’s most famous, albeit fatal victory.
The 104-gun Victory was Nelson’s flagship. Seawolf, Argonaut, Britannia et al, were HM ships of the line which fought in the most famous and arguably, most consequential naval battle in history.
All that, plus Lord Horatio Nelson was a one eyed, one armed, sherry drinking bad ass.
